CASA LLANES

Time & Craft

Craft & Ritual

Time does not decorate the cigar. It changes it.

Craft in four steps

Time, in four steps.

  1. 01

    Fermentation

Where heat and moisture change the leaf.

  2. 02

    Ageing

Where the leaf learns to keep you waiting.

  3. 03

    Hand-rolling

Where the cigar takes its final shape before surrendering to the ritual.

  4. 04

    Resting

The last private moment before the cigar meets the world.

Some cigars are smoked. Casa Llanes is given time.

The Ritual

What accompanies the cigar.

  1. 01

    Cut

A clean, decisive cut of the cap — enough to open the draw, never so much that the wrapper loosens.

  2. 02

    Toast

The foot is warmed slowly, at a distance from the flame, until it glows evenly.

  3. 03

    Light

Gentle draws, turning the cigar, so it begins to burn as one.

  4. 04

    Pause

A premium cigar is not hurried. Let it rest between draws; let the ash hold.

Time cannot be accelerated.
